All classes cost $35.00
Note from Commodore:
Hi All,
I would like to thank Pete Maye for providing the 2010 local class schedule which is posted on the webpage. www.stmyc.org. You should also note that one of the classes is offered locally.
A key element of our mission statement is to encourage responsible boating, and to that end I would like to encourage ALL of you that have not recently attended a safe boating class to sign up for one of these offered this year. I know some of you are not boat owners or feel that you have enough knowledge to be safe on the water. For those folks, I assure you that these courses will improve your skill level, whatever your competence, and even as a passenger, will give you greater confidence on the water.
I would like to see all of our members complete one of these classes in the near future. Although Georgia doesn't currently require a safe boating class to legally operate a vessel, it is inevitable they will, so you may as well get it sooner than later and take advantage of the knowledge and skills today. It could save your butt. It has mine, several times over.
The cost is only $35 and can be scheduled through Pete Maye: pmaye@tds.net or June Darby:junefaa@comcast.net.
